Merlin Entertainments Group has released its financial results for the year ending 26 December 2009, showing that the company is starting to recover from the global economic crisis. Six Flags Over Texas has begun a $10 million upgrade on the Texas Giant which will see the ride's wooden tracks replaced. The new steel Iron Horse Coaster track design will be fitted to the ride's original wooden support structure.
