#5 – Beech Bend Announces Water Park
Kentucky amusement park Beech Bend announced their largest expansion in park history in their 2010 Splash Lagoon Water Park. ScreamScape has more. Also visit Beech Bend’s web site and view the press release.
#4 – Coney Island’s Comeback
Plans for Coney Island’s revitalization are coming together as The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) put out a request for proposals (RFP) for the re-growth and development of 6.9 acres of property at the Coney Island amusement area. The proposal is looking at three parcels of land to be redeveloped in phases with the first section set to open in summer 2010! #3 – Universal Studios Singapore – Battlestar Galactica Roller Coaster & More
Universal Studios Singapore has started testing the Battlestar Galactica dueling roller coaster (in video below). The Vekoma designed ride will feature an inverted track dueling with a tamer seated track. Also, ScreamScape posted a link to press conference and concept art videos for the new theme park.

#2 – Alton Towers Teases Secret Weapon 6

#1 – The Voyage Will Get Timberliner Trains in 2010
